The National Security Committee (NSC) chaired by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday vowed to continue to “zealously” defend Pakistan’s stance and position on various global issues on all international forums.
The session attended by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Hayat among other top level civil and military leadership were briefed on the PM and Foreign Minister’s recent foreign trips.
The NSC was told that the PM and Foreign Ministers met representatives of several foreign countries and presented Pakistan’s stance on various global issues including regional security, terrorism and occupied territories “zealously”.
The committee also expressed serious concerns over repeated ceasefire violation by Indian forces along the Line of Control (LoC) with Pakistan and vowed to continue to raise voices at every possible forum.
The top leadership reiterated country’s commitment to peace process in Afghanistan.
